The School of Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language, RUC, offers foreigners various short-term training programs together with the opportunity to make friends and be acquainted with China.

We  offer short-term training programs in the winter  and summer vacations every year. The following is the schedule for the short-term Chinese language programs in 2006:

① 01/16/2006—02/18/2006 total 5 weeks, for the multi-national students
② 05/29/2006—07/08/2006 total 6 weeks, for  American students
③ 06/26/2006—07/29/2006 total 5 weeks, for Japanese students
④ 07/10/2006—07/29/2006 total 3 weeks, for the multi-national students
⑤ 07/17/2006—08/29/2006 total 6 weeks, for Italian students
⑥ 07/26/2006—08/22/2006 total 4 weeks, for Hong Kong students
⑦ 07/31/2006—08/26/2006 total 4 weeks, for the multi-national students
Course Arrangements

Courses offered are Elementary Chinese, Listening and Conversation.

Activities such as watching movies, attending theatrical performances and visiting the Great Wall, the Ming Tombs and other historical sites will be arranged as part of the program.

Courses will be offered in the morning from Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week. Apart from some organized extra-curricular activities, students will have free time in the afternoon.

Certificates will be awarded at the end of the study program.
